It's official! We have moved to our new District website, now located at acpsd.net. Please take a moment to visit and explore our new online home for updated information on all items related to Aiken County Public Schools.

As a reminder, our individual school web pages will continue to link back to School Fusion (hosted at this site) until the start of the new school year when all school-related pages will make the transition to our new web platform.

Thank you for your continued interest in and support of Aiken County Public Schools, and welcome to acpsd.net!
Media Center
The media center helps students answer the following Essential Question: how will I be able to find reliable information so I may pursue lifelong learning. To answer that, the media specialists promote Digital Citizenship by emphasizing safe use of the Internet, detecting fallacious sites and scams, avoiding copyright and plagiarism issues, and making students aware of their digital footprint and negative implications that could follow.

The media center's mission is that of the school's, to develop potential and to discover purpose, by providing materials that compliment the curriculum, broadening the knowledge of our students while also promoting the enjoyment of reading and the pleasure of learning. Materials further literary, cultural, and aesthetic appreciation.

The collection is constantly evaluated for its relevancy and responsiveness to the school's curriculum and patron's needs. The media center serves as a center for research and a window to the world.

HOURS: 7:45-3:30 daily. Students must have a pass to enter during class periods.  (Teachers may elect to stay in the media center with their students after hours if extra time is needed for an assigned project.) Students are allowed to check out books for a 2-week period.
